Scripture Reading: 1 Chron 28 I Kings
1 Ps 91 1 Thess 5
S=Scripture O=Observation
A=Application P=Prayer SOAP for the soul.
S. 1 Chron 28:20-21 And David said to his son Solomon,"Be strong and of
good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God — my God
— will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have
finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.”
Matt 28:20 “...and lo, I am
with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. NKJV
O. David handed all the
complicated plans for the temple to his son, Solomon, and said, “Go for it, my
son. You can do it. Don’t get discouraged for God will be with you until you
finish all the work.” Jesus hands over His massive plan to reach the whole
world to his little band of 11 men who were left. He knew He was leaving us an
impossible task... but he added the secret for our success. “I will go with you
and never forsake you... until the end of the age when you have completed the
task.”
A. Without You, Lord, I can do
nothing... I am a zero. Ah! But I cling to my Master’s promise. I do not
advance alone... not a single step, for He promises to be with me until I
complete the task that He has assigned to me. What an exciting
adventure... to walk with God!
P. Lord, this morning in a few
moments I will stand before the student body of the Patagonian Bible Institute
and attempt to impart to these students the challenge of Your gigantic charge.
What a blessing to know that I am not alone! I may soon be out of the
picture and as some of them may step into my place... they too, will be nothing
without You... but Your promise is theirs, too. May they walk hand in
hand with You to complete the seemingly impossible task that You have left
them. Amen.
Ralph
